What to see in Caorle and surroundings


Located between Venice and Trieste, Caorle is one of the most characteristic beach resorts of Venetian Riviera. Hosting about 11,000 inhabitants, Caorle offers plenty of ideas  to enjoy a holiday outside the usual schemes. This small seaside town has a historic center and an iconic cliff to be discovered and photographed, but there are many more itineraries for a visit to Caorle.

  • The Cathedral of Caorle  dates back to the year 1000. Built in Romanesque style, this cathedral is defined by its bell tower with a particular cylindrical shape and by the adjacent Treasure Museum nowadays hosting a permanent exhibition;
  • The historic center is the quintessence of what to see in Caorle - colorful and picturesque, full of interesting views, lending itself to be discovered and photographed in all its angles;
  • The live Cliff, which rocks are engraved and sculpted every year by artists from all over the world, transforms the promenade into an artistic walk worth seeing;
  • The church of the Madonna dell'Angelo is a small and suggestive sanctuary located on a promontory overlooking the sea. This is a favourite destination for pilgrimages and weddings;
  • Casoni di Caorle, small refuges built with reeds, they represent ancient lagoon houses of the fishermen of  the area, currently used as holiday homes.
